My First Non-Pinterest Inspired Project

On Tuesday I posted a picture on my instagram about the project I decided to start on the spur of the moment. I was literally walking around hobby lobby trying to come up with a cool coat rack to make for Anthony because he has no where downstairs to hang his jackets.
I knew I wanted it to be masculine enough for him but also rustic and nice enough to put in our home when we get one. With no pinterest inspiration I gathered some supplies and decided to see what I could come up with on my own!
I ended up buying this board ($8.00) that was already cute and and the trimming around the edge so JK wouldn't have to do all that for me, some light blue paint ($4.99) and a random assortment of hooks (on sale for 40% off this week at Hobby Lobby)
After painting the board and letting it dry over night, JK put the holes in the back so I can hang it up and then I just screwed the hooks onto the board and we hung it up last night!!
There is a little shelf ledge that my dad built to display all of his antique trucks, old license plates, vintage scales (he works at a Metler Toledo Scale) and random pieces of old farm equipment. Until Anthony and I get our own place I rearranged some of the stuff and put some of Anthony's stuff up and put together some pictures of our favorite trips that we have taken on the chicken wire window frames I created back in May for JK's Graduation Party

It is so much fun to decorate for him because he lets me do pretty much whatever I want even though it is his space. I cannot wait to have our place to start decorating until then I will just be taking over other people's places.
