Halloween Weekend at the Campground

For the last few months I have been checking the reservations website for availability over at Dillon State Park for Halloween weekend with no luck. The campground usually gets booked completely full 6 months in advance for this weekend. On Thursday evening I received an email that some site availability came open and I snagged up a site as fast as I could.

It turned out the a very cold and rainy weekend from Saturday through today and the weather was not in our favor. Friday night was beautiful though and Saturday it stopped raining just in time for Trick or Treat. Rowan was a little old lady and she was definitely the cutest little trick or treater there! The campground even put a costume contest on and Rowan won first place for her age division (0-4) We were pretty excited!

'
Her competition was pretty scary!!! checkout that clown's makeup, impressive!

Even though we spent most of our time in the camper and made quite a few trips back to the house (it is only 5 minutes down the road) it was definitely a memorable weekend and we plan to make it a tradition of going over for future Halloween weekends!

Eight Months of Rowan Christine

Eight months and day by day we are having more and more fun! Rowan is crawling as fast as possible all over the place and is now walking along the furniture and using her walker that her Grammy bought her. She is loving trying new foods and she had so much fun at the pumpkin patch a week ago.

Here are Rowan's Month 8 Photos and Updates…

CHANGES + MILESTONES :

  • She is up to 18.4 lbs
  • She had a some sleep regression in the last two weeks but we started having her put herself to sleep at night if she hasn't fallen asleep while nursing or having her night time bottle. The first night was the worse when she cried for 15 minutes but fell asleep after, the second night it only took 5 minutes and the 3rd night it was less than 3 minutes! Last night she just rolled over and fell back to sleep.
  • She is on the move and we feel like we just keep finding things we haven't baby proofed enough, this girl is so curious!
  • She is waving hi and bye, is starting to make strange with some people, puckers her lips and makes kissing sounds and is still blowing raspberries like nobodies business.

EYE COLOR, HAIR & BABY GIGGLES:

Miss Rowan's hair is still blonde and her eyes are as blue as ever. She loves to mimic our laughs and it is so funny!

SLEEP:

She is sleeping mostly through the night but occasionaly gets up around 3AM to nurse and falls back to sleep and she takes two naps a day.

SCHEDULE:

What schedule?

FEEDINGS:

Breastfeeding is still going great and we have introduced some other solids like pieces of peaches and apples and puffs! Little girl sure loves her puff puffs and know what they are too when we ask if she wants one.

Mr&MrsRadovich

On Saturday our friends Shannon and Nick tied the knot and it was one of the most beautiful weddings I have been to. They had it at the Longaberger Crawford Barn in Frazeysburg. The weather could not have been better, their decorations were pretty, Shannon looked gorgeous and we got to catch up with some of our friends that we have not seen in quite some time! It was a great night!

Rowan's First Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

On Wednesday we decided to take Rowan to the pumpkin patch for her first time. There is a brand new patch right over the hill from our house and we decided to check it out. PV's Pumpkin Patch did not disappoint. Rowan loved the big aired up bouncer. We had a little scare in the corn when she tried to eat a handful of corn. We are planning on going back a couple more times this fall!
