Long Overdue Girls Day

This past weekend was great because I got to catch up with my friend Shelby.
We used to work together and had the opportunity to talk to each other on the phone frequently but then life got super busy, I left the hearing aid office and we finally made a shopping date in Granville followed by some wine at Buckeye Winery on the square in Newark.

cute little boutiques and shops in Granville.
We ate lunch at this really fun bar called Brews which we are already planning a date with the hubbies back to in a couple weeks, did some shopping and then went for a glass of wine.
In all reality the wine was what we were really looking forward to!!!

I had so much fun catching up again and just having a girls day of shopping.
All to often I find myself going shopping alone because it is usually just a spur of the moment trip and I don't bother calling anyone to go with so this was definitely needed.
I ended up doing more window shopping than actually buying anything other than a really cute chalkboard pig and a bottle of wine from the winery, and of course I got Acai Raspberry (my fave from there!)

Sunday we had dinner at Grandma and Dave's for his birthday but I had a pretty bad headache so I went home early instead of watching the Nascar race with everyone.
All in all it was a fun weekend and I am definitely looking forward to planning our next date with Shelby&Josh and going to hangout at Brews.

Accepting Change

I recently saw this on my Pinterest feed and had to repin it.
With all the changes I have had to make in the last couple of months this really hit close to home.
Life is scary.
Change is uncomfortable.
But life is full of both of these.
Unfortunately in the past I have found myself more often than not regretting decisions I have made.
I don't typically let this regret override my life or change my happiness but alas it still sits there in the back of my mind taunting me.
Here lately I have been trying to eliminate that regret and doing what makes me happy.
Doing so I have found myself smiling more often.
Getting along with family & friends.
Laughing at myself.
Not stressed out.
Loving Life!!

Well that is the end of my random post of the day!!
I hope you all are finding yourself letting go of regret and
making yourself happy even when it doesn't seem possible.

Weekend Recap & a Blate!!!

Did you all have a good weekend? We sure did!
The weather was perfect, there was a lot of fun activities to do this weekend, oh and most importantly my bloggy bestie Julie Joy was visiting from Michigan.
Julie, her husband and two friends came to town for the Deer & Turkey Expo in Columbus, Ohio and to look for some good hunting ground here for later this year.
We ended up meeting them in Columbus at the Expo and hanging out for the rest of the day.

After we were done at the Expo we headed to Coshocton because that is where they stayed in a hotel at and conveniently the band that my cousin is in was playing at The WareHouse in Roscoe Village which was two minutes from their hotel.

The Warehouse was a really neat bar.
I had never been there before and we are planning on going back for sure.
It was in the basement of an old historical building that is now a restaurant.

Another really neat thing was that a whole bunch of us that used to be in Hoof Beats 4-H Club together were there so I thought it would be a good idea to get a reunion picture!

We spent the rest of the evening hanging out at the bar and listening to the band.
Sunday they headed back to Michigan so we didn't get to meet back up but Anthony and I are going to start planning our trip to Michigan to see them now.
On Sunday I had a 60th Anniversary party to go to for some cousins and then my Mom and I went to Easton in Columbus to get my bridesmaid dress ordered for Jesie's wedding and we also stopped at Trader Joe's. I was extremely impressed with this grocery shopping experience! It was not stressful at all and everyone there was so nice. I snagged a couple things I have seen other bloggers post about getting from there on instagram and I am looking forward to trying it out.

I hope you are all having a wonderful week!
I have been working on a couple projects for our camper that I am looking forward to sharing on here and I think I am eventually going to get back into my blogging groove.

Hello Sunshine!

We had an amazingly fun and adventurous weekend.
The weather was perfect with highs in the 40s and more importantly the sun was shining and all this darn snow we have piled up everywhere was melting away! Good riddance!!
Thankfully Old Man Winter is making his way out of Ohio, unfortunately not with a couple more drop ins before officially welcoming Spring.
We drove down to Hocking Hills on Saturday morning and spent the whole day hiking at Old Man's Cave. Anthony's brothers, cousin and friend Jory all go to college at Hocking and were great tour guides.
They took us to all the cool places instead of the same ones we go to every single time.

Not a great job at our group picture...oops

Sunday, our clocks changed and Anthony had to work.
I spent most of the day doing laundry and getting ready for the work week.
My schedule has seriously changed so much.
I have gone from working 6 hour days 4 days a week to 9 hour days 5 days a week.
I now get a one hour lunch which is awesome compared to my half hour before.
If you are a frequent reader you have probably noticed I have been slightly absent over here on the blog but I have really been struggling with finding a new schedule and fitting blogging into it.
After staring at a computer screen for the majority of the day it is the last thing I want to do when I get home at night. But don't worry soon enough I will get adjusted and be back in full force.
I hope all of you had an amazing weekend and it is warming up in your neck of the woods!

Favorite Things - March

Beauty and the Greek

How is it even possible that it has been a whole month since last month's Favorite Things link up with Emily and Kylie? Well it looks like it actually has and I am not going to lie that February was not a fun month for me and I am thoroughly looking forward to March and hopefully some warm weather it could potentially bring along with it. Either way there should be lots of fun stuff going on this month to look forward to.

Anyways here goes some of my favorite things right now.
I got this cute owl planter from Hobby Lobby last week to put on my new desk at work to hold my pens.
These also come in a peach color and a white. I am thinking about getting a couple for here at home too!

this color is the perfect clear and pink nail polish. I think I like it so much because if it does chip during the day it is not as noticeable and I don't feel like I need to fix them while at work

 Femme Couture Perfect Arch kit
I have been filling in my eyebrows for a couple months now but I just always felt like they did not match and I would spend way to long trying to perfect them. Until I bought this kit from Sally's Beauty Supply. It only takes a couple minutes and I love how they look when I am done!

Envi Nail Enamel Dryer
I had never heard of this until last weekend I was walking around CVS looking for pretty much anything to put in my basket and I found this. I didn't really believe it but since it was pretty cheap I threw it in and gave it a shot. Most of my Essie polish takes a good five minutes to really dry and now this cuts that time in half.

I cannot wait for this movie to come out. I am only half way through this first book of the series but I am definitely hooked on it and cannot wait to read it every chance I get!!!

New picture frames for my desk at my new job.
I found these frames when I found the little owl planter.
My love for blue, green and orange follows me everywhere!
I cannot help it!

Well those are just a few of my favorite things right now.
Make sure you check out what everyone else is liking right now too.
I almost always have to make a little list of stuff I need to check out after reading these posts.
Its so much fun!!!
I hope you all have a wonderful Monday and that this week goes by smoothly.
