Wedding Wednesday Pt.4

It has been a couple weeks since I did my last Wedding Wednesday and there has been some stuff going on. First off last night Anthony and I had our appointment with the priest at church to see if we are able to get married in the Catholic church (no worries...we are good to go!) and to get the church reserved for our date. So it is official...we will be getting married at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Saturday June 15, 2012 at 2:00 P.M.  It feels so good to have that part out of the way, we both were extremely nervous about the meeting but it was all unnecessary because it wasn't too bad. Now I just have to call Friendly Hills and set up our times for being there and she requested our seating chart which I am not real sure what is going on with that because its a year away and honestly I have no idea how we are going to be arranging the tables and all that jazz plus I don't think we will be having assigned seating. I also have to call some other people and sign up for the Precana and Natural Family Planning classes that are a requirement to get married in the Church and get an appointment scheduled with the organist at our Church and figure out with her what songs we will have played during the wedding. I also need to make my decision on a photographer in the near future. But now that we have the date and time set I can start working on our invitations. I am really considering using these FREE templates provided from The Wedding Chicks. Yes that is right they are free! We would have to pay for the paper and the printing services wherever we choose to get them printed at but this would save us a lot of money. There are 4 different templates I think I would choose from their options. My first choice is the Mason Jar ones they offer that are actually already in our colors for the wedding too and mason jars are something that is going to be found throughout the whole wedding.

My second option is the Rustic printable. Of course the colors will be changed to our colors but these are really cute too!

This third option is very simple and I would change the colors to our wedding colors also.

This is the fourth option and I love the simplicity of it but I am thinking of something more personal to our style and something less traditional.

Today I should also be getting the wedding decorations from Alyssa's wedding. Dad took my Jeep to work because Bob said he was going to bring it. I am so excited and cannot wait to see every thing I get to use!
So does anyone else have any ideas for wedding invitations? Should I got the total DIY route or not bother myself with the stress of making the invitations and just use these free ones or order through another company? What did you do for your wedding?

  1. I really like the first invitations, they seem like your personality. I also like the very last ones, very simple and elegant but I'm with you, you should get something that really reflects your personality.

  2. Oooo I love the mason jars!! We went with invitation from weddingpaperdivas.com and LOVED them!! I was super untraditional and they have so many awesome choices. Mine turned out so great, and their invitations have matching programs/menus/etc.
