Weekend Recap

Well this was supposed to be a post for Friday but I was attempting to use my blogger app on my ipad and some how everything got deleted when I loaded my last picture in and that was Friday night at 11:40 p.m. so I just headed to bed and said forget it at that point. So instead of a 5 Things on Friday post this will just be my weekend recap plus some fun stuff from last week.

First off and if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you already know about this but we added another furbaby to the Fry Family. Meet Sparta!

Monday someone posted a picture of a kitty that they had found and tried to located the owner for a week in their area but didn't find it's owner so she was giving it away for free on facebook. I asked a minute too late and another one of our friends ending up taking her.
That night Anthony and I talked and decided that we were going to get a cat. After discussing that we didn't want to spend a bunch of money on one since there are so many being dumped at farms but we wanted to protect Diesel and Tank from any diseases a farm cat might bring and we obviously didn't want to end up with a knocked up cat and kittens on the way. On Tuesday I decided to make a little pit stop at the animal shelter on my way home (ok it is not at all on my way home, just a little off the beaten path) and see what they had there. Well our County Shelter has sponsored adoptions so that people who want to sponsor a pets adoption so the future family doesn't have to pay the full price but still want a pet from the shelter. After wandering around and holding multiple cats I found this big orange cat in the last cage in the aisle and read his tag which stated he was on his 3rd trip to the shelter in his 5 years of his life. He was by the far the oldest cat there so I scooped him up (he was purring the whole time) and took him to this little room to see how he behaved. He was a little skittish but this was also the same room I had just had like 12 other cats in and he was sniffing around for them but he never peed on anything in there so that was a relief. He ended up being a sponsored adoption and was only $35.00 and was actually being sponsored by the veterinarian that is on staff at the shelter. I decided that Sparta was going to go home with me that night and become a member of our family. My main decision for that was because he was so old and I didn't feel like he deserved to spend any more time in that little cage and he was definitely large enough to protect himself from Tank (in case Tank decided to play with him) Anyways long story short I filled out a bunch of paperwork signing my life over for this little Garfield feline and we were headed home after another pit stop at We Lov Pets to get liter, a liter box, some food and a sparkly collar for him (sparkles? I am outnumbered at our house now being the only female so I have to give my guys a little bling whenever I can)

Friday I finally got my hair done. I had put it off way too long and also decided to change it up a little bit and had Steph give me bangs. It is taking a little to get used to but I really love the way it looks

Saturday we ended up going to Habitat Humanity Restore in Westerville because Mom was looking for some French doors to go on the back of their house (we didn't find any) and to check out what this store was about because we had never been there before. I liked it but it wasn't in the greatest part of town so the stuff wasn't the nicest. I am sure in a different area of town and the other stores in other states you could really get some awesome stuff. I did end up getting a pretty off white can of paint for our kitchen and Mom bought some paint brushes.
After shopping there we headed to uptown Westerville and shopped around in the little shops there.
I had never been there before and it was a really cute little area in Columbus.

Sunday we celebrated 6 months of being married but didn't really get to see each other til Sunday night because Anthony went up to Lake Erie for the day and I went hunting. But I love this picture because this is from when we walked back down the aisle at our Church as Mr & Mrs Fry and the smile is Anthony's face is amazing!!! He was so happy! (I was too!! lol) It is so hard to believe how fast half a year has went. Here is hoping that the next half is a little less challenging than what the first half has been but bring it on either way!

This is how my Monday morning started yesterday.
Under all that snow is a pure sheet of ice and I left home late to get to work so I was running in the door right at 9:00. I am still loving this winter though with all this snow!
However the slush needs to stay away.

Hope everyone else is enjoying this weather and hopefully you are all ready for Christmas.
I on the other hand just started my shopping last night!
