Big News!!

We   I have been searching endlessly like every week for our future home!
I say I have because whenever I brought it up with Anthony he didn't seemed interested and just figured we would find something when the time was right.
Which to him I am pretty sure the time being right is like a week maybe a month before we get married.
Well I am not ready for that added stress on top of planning the wedding, rehearsal, & going to showers

Every week I was logging onto hotpads.com, every realtor website in our area and even craigslist and coming up with nothing. Other than beautiful homes that are outside of our price range
or homes that are in too much need of TLC that I do not want to have to tackle in our first year of marriage
Don't get me wrong...I love a good DIY project and am dreaming of the day I get to decorate my own house, but I really do not want to be knocking any walls out or fixing plumbing or electric in the whole house.

In November I remembered that my Grandma had mentioned that her husband Dave still has his house that he lived in with his wife that is now deceased and they would be interested in renting it to us.
It seriously was like an epiphany!
I called Dave and asked him if the offer was still up and it was.
We made plans to go look at the house that upcoming Monday.
Anthony and I couldn't resist driving by it though on Sunday after Church.
I was immediately anxious to go see the inside.
That Monday at work went so slow but it finally came.
I met Anthony, Dave and Grandma at the house and Dave gave us the grand tour.

Forgetful me didn't plug my phone in at work so I only got a couple pictures before it died.
So there is a HUGE kitchen, decent sized living room, large bedroom with a walk-in closet and built-in desk area where I can put all my crafting stuff. A spare bedroom was turned into a laundry room, the basement is very old and not finished but its a basement, a fenced in back yard for the dogs.
It is pretty outdated but with some of our own personal touches it is going to be the perfect first home for us until we figure out where we are going in life...
Did I mention that it is completely furnished?
it has a dish washer, refrigerator, microwave, washer & dryer and furniture
We have to work out a little plan to get some of the furniture out because we do have some of our own that we want to use but other than that I am pretty pumped!

So that is the BIG news!
We have a house to make our home
the goal is to have all of Dave's stuff moved out and start moving our stuff in in March.
Most likely Anthony is going to move all of his stuff in then closer to us getting married I will start bringing all of my stuff in.
Here is the best picture
obviously it need some cleaning up on the outside but I cannot wait til I can get my hands on it.
My to-do list has already started
-get rid of cheesy statues and other knick knacks on the porch
-power wash the house
-paint the pillars all white (not real sure what is going on with the half blue
-paint the picket fence
-get rid of the old pool structure in the yard

A little curb appeal is all I want!
I am not asking for much, other than maybe two white rocking chairs or a porch swing for the front porch

Closer to us moving in I will definitely start posting more pictures of the inside.
Until then you can find me pinning away on Pinterest for cute country front porches!
