Currently

Since the blogger creativity has kind of escaped me for the time being, I hope this is short lived, I am going to do a little currently post. Since I left you all with a photo dump last week I might as well follow up with a brain dump type of thing next.

Reading: The Summer I Turned Pretty Trilogy. I bought this big ole book while we were on vaca because I didn't bring anything other than my magazine subscriptions on my ipad and I didn't want to take the ipad to the beach. I wasn't real sure if I was going to like it and it was the only thing WalMart there had to offer but I absolutely loved the first book in the series and now I am halfway through It's Not Summer Without You. I would definitely recommend this one for a summer read.

Learning: to manage our money more wisely. We still really need to work on it but things seems to be falling together. I hope this only gets better.

Looking Forward To: my second vacation, this time with my Hubby, in 3.5 weeks. We are going to our favorite place ever, Charleston, SC. I am seriously in love with everything in that area.

Watching: Pretty Little Liars Season 4. One of the girls I work with told me back in March that I needed to started watching this series on Netflix to get caught up. So I did. Little did she tell me how truly addicting it would be and that there are four seasons. Four Seasons wouldn't be so bad if there weren't 30+ episodes in each seasons. I am finally getting closer to being caught up but it is seriously taking forever. The drama and mystery of it makes you keep coming back for more. I even caught Anthony singing the tune of the theme song to it the other night.

Eating: amazing grape dessert recipe I made (a couple times) on vacation that I have made every week since we got home and it is still not getting old. I will share the recipe this week for all of you along with an apple dip my Aunt shared with me that I am loving!

Remembering: Last weekend we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. For some reason this week I have been reminiscing about our wedding day and how far we have come in this one year of being married. Life has changed (mostly for the good) for both of us and I seriously could not be happier. There are some things that we are looking to change in the next year, but that is a post all of it's own.

Planning: Our July 4th Weekend festivities. Last year Anthony didn't have the weekend off so we weren't able to go to his Uncle John and Aunt Kelly's for their first annual July 4th Cookout at their new house up by the lake. We are planning on taking our camping stuff and the dogs which is even more exciting to me. I love being able to take them on trips with us and not feeling guilty leaving them alone or with other family members. Plus getting to see family members we only see at Thanksgiving and Christmas is always fun too!

Praying For: Miss Mariah. My cousin who was severely injured in a motorcycle accident. She has come a very long way but she has some major changes that are about to occur and after talking to her Mom yesterday I cannot quit just praying that she has the strength to fight through this and come out a better person in the end (both physically and mentally). I pray to God that she knows that we are all here encouraging her to make the right decisions and I pray that God will guide her with these decisions and actions.

I would so appreciate it if you could also include Mariah in your prayers as she recovers and pray for her to push through therapy and come out of this stronger than she ever was before.

  1. I'll keep your cousin in my thoughts and prayers. My Uncle was in a bad mortorcyle accident several years ago, so I know how hard some of these things can be.

Happy (late) anniversary! It's crazy how fast a year flies by :)
