Lots of Pinterest Going On Over Here

Once again I am linking up over at The Vintage Apple with some of my favorite pins from Pinterest this week.
I have been finding myself pinning a lot of stuff from the Home Decor category on Pinterest. With those pins I have also been pretty down in the dumps because we don't have a place of our own yet to put these pins into action. We aren't sure yet if we are just going to rent when we get married and keep saving our money to buy a place sometime after that or if we are going to be pinching pennies for the next months leading up to the wedding and purchasing a house then. I know that purchasing our first home is going to be very stressful and I don't know if that is something we want to be dealing with while we are planning the wedding. But all of that aside here are a couple of my favorite pins recently.
1. I absolutely love the frame above the bed and how easy does that look to make?! It came from Chipping with Charm and her blog is really cute. I had to add her to my reading list.
2. I am loving the orange in this bedroom and I know Anthony would too!
3. I ended up adding this pin to Pinterest myself after I wandered over to Racha's blog, My Champagne Taste. You have got to go see her home tour on her blog.
4. When we get our own I place I am hoping and praying that we have a wide enough door way to put up some barn door sliders and have something like this.
5. How much better does this shelf with the hooks on it look compared to the normal rods that are in most homes? I love it and it provides for more decoration options.
These are 6 pins I made this week that I am going to try to do this month. How many of us find ourselves pinning pins that we want to do but never get to them? I know I do and I am tired of looking through my boards and not having anything to say that I have actually done by pinning them (well aside from my wedding boards) So for this month I am going to attempt to do each one of these pins or atleast my version of them with what I can come up with.

Along with it being Pinteresting Wednesday it is also Wedding Wednesday over here. I don't really have any wedding announcements to make other than we got scheduled for Pre-Cana and are also getting really close to getting our engagement pictures done. I was hoping to have them done by the third week of July however the weather we have been having is so hot, like Channing Tatum HOT! So I talked to Blaire and we are going to do them more towards the end of July or possibly August. But here are some pins I made this week that are more geared towards my wedding planning:
1. I was originally wanting my bridesmaids to wear short and different styled dresses however after coming across this pin I fell in love with everything about it! The color, the look, the simplicity.
2. I am thinking about making matching hangers for my girls for their dresses to be hanging on.
3. These pocket knifes are awesome! I was telling Anthony about them last night and he said that would be a great idea for groomsmen gifts.
4. Ever since I started planning this wedding 7 months ago I have loved lace dresses! here is another favorite!

dreaming about my reception...

In less than 7 hours we will be beach bound! Just thought I would throw that out there but anyways once again it is Wednesday and we all know what that means...

&

WEDDING WEDNESDAY over here on my blog!

Today I am just going to put them both in the same post because I am very busy with finishing stuff up at work and trying to wrap my head around everything I need to get for our trip and what I might be missing. We did have a slight change of plans for the trip but it is working out for the good (: The other couple that was going to go with us cannot go so now Shalene and Madeline are going and so is Trevor (Anthony's youngest brother that has never been to the beach before!) We are going to have lots of fun and I am planning a little trip for us girls to go see the house that Nights in Rodanthe was filmed at and go see the light houses too. We will be staying at an oceanfront KOA Campground so I will most likely not be getting on here because we won't have a bunch of time to be doing all the ordinary stuff we would be doing at home.

Anyways this week I have been searching pinterest for all kinds of ideas for decorations for the reception.

I am planning on having some rustic chalk boards made like this. We are going to skip the stress of doing assigned seating and let everyone sit where they want to. I think this allows them to mingle with new family members. The only reserved seating will be for immediate family like our parents, grandparents and possibly really close aunts and uncles

I thought these were super cute and am going to make one that says FRY in our wedding colors or with bailing twine.

I have been admiring these charms for my bouquet for a while now. I really want a picture of my Grandpa Spiker, Grandma Kuhn (Dad's real Mom) and Anthony's Grandpa Kehn...it would be really special to me have them going down the aisle with me on my big day since they can't physically be there.

We already have a bunch of white balls we got from Alyssa and Nick's wedding so I just want to get some green, blue and orange ones and do something similar to this.

I really like this color for the guys tuxes. Not real sure if I am going to not have them wear the jackets but this does look really nice!
And of course I want a picture like this!

This week Mom and I have been shopping around for 4 oz. mason jars online for our wedding favors. It is going to be so cute but we need to get started on them really soon because strawberries are in season. My plan is to have all my bridesmaids come over to help with making the jam and assembling them. It will be a fun day just hanging out with my girls. But this is what we are going to do for our favors:

Now I just have to figure out how we are going to make homemade jam and the art of canning!
Should be quite the experience for all of us.

Pinteresting Wednesday

I almost forgot that is was Wednesday until I just got this free minute at work and heard Hoda and Kathy Lee announce it is Winesday Wednesday. After having Monday off I am a day behind which is not a bad thing until I almost forget Pinteresting Wednhesday. So thank-you Kathy Lee and Hoda for reminding what day it is. As always I am linking up all my awesome pinterest pins from this week over at The Vintage Apple.

I love this engagement picture...adding to our list of stuff to do for ours
I love all these paper balls hanging from the ceiling, wonder where I can
get a bunch for cheap
Love this for the altar
Program idea
If we end up having an outdoor wedding this is what I want to do for the seating
Now a little DIY projects that I am going to tackle soon
Love this letter and would be good to have for decoration even after the wedding.
If my bridesmaids don't end up wearing boots or heals I might make these for them and there is a perfect tutorial that Tinkets in Bloom provided!
I love these bracelets and have been wondering how to make them.

Hope your all having a wonderful week and aren't as confused as I am for what day of the week it is

Graduation Celebrations

Mother nature has blessed me with my monthly visitor and I feel as if I have been hit by a Mack truck and not just hit that 18-wheeler put it in reverse and ran right back over me..I say Pigpen this here's Rubber Duck and I'm about to put the hammer down! Hopefully by tomorrow the constant dose of ibuprofen will have kicked in and I will be able to function.

Mom and I are currently in the middle of planning JK's graduation party. I am in charge of doing the invitations and the decorations for the party. I took his senior pictures back in October and they turned out great! so of course I will be using them in part with the decorations. I am also putting together a scrapbook to have laying out at the party which I have procrastinated on and need to get started this week. Tomorrow is his last official day of high school, Thursday they are going on their senior trip to Cedar Point and Friday is Senior Slide Show and rehearsal for the ceremony. They have next week off and Friday night they will be graduating under the lights on the football field (weather permitting) We are having his party on June 9th at my cousin's church. My cousin Jed that I did his senior pictures back in February is also having the party with my brother so I will also be making some decorations for his memory table at the party.

With all this party planning I have been scouring (sp?) all over Pinterest for ideas. So for Pinteresting Wednesday over at The Vintage Apple this post will be full of party planning ideas.

First off I am focusing on creating some banners. I love making banners, we have them around here for every holiday and event that goes on. They are so easy and so cute to have hanging up! This I don't need much inspiration for but I thought I would check whats out there.

The memory tables are pretty much just going to be pictures from growing up

this is a genius idea to keep food cooled down

As soon as I get the invites, decorations and scrapbook done I will definitely be posting them!
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday, we are halfway through the week (:

Pinterest and a BIG announcement

As always I am linking up over at The Vintage Apple for Pinteresting Wednesday. You might notice a little theme going on.... well there is a reason. This week Anthony and I have been dreaming of the beach. Not only because our vacation to the OBX is a little over a month away but because we made a big decision! We are moving to South Carolina....yes we are going to become beach bums, will be found walking the sandy Carolina beaches with salty skin and suntanned! It has not really set in completely yet but we have time.

We decided that instead of buying a house here in Ohio where is actually really hard to find a house in our lower price range that is not trashed or in the ghetto, we are going to buy a house down South. We are set on moving to South Carolina because my Uncle Brad and Aunt Anita live there and being close to family is a big priority to us especially if we are going to be 638 miles away from home. We don't think we should buy a house here in Ohio because we are afraid we won't end up moving in the end and this is something we would really like to experience. This isn't something that we are doing immediately either because we are definitely getting married in Ohio where all of our family and friends are and where we are from and started and Anthony is still working on his degree so we are most likely going to rent a house or an apartment until the big move. But anyways this week I have been super excited about our big decision and when I am not found looking at homes for sale on hotpads.com I am looking anything beachy related on pinterest!

pier at Folly Beach

love the fact that we will be able to sit outside and eat pretty much all year round.
Sorry Ohio but your a little bi-polar!

There is just something about a white rocking chair that screams beach to me but
also is a reminder of home because this could also be found on the front porch
of a farm house.

love this! I have so many shells from all of our trips to the beach and my accumulation of blue mason jars is getting up there for the wedding so I can see how I will be decorating our house.
I will be just fine with plopping my chair down in front of this with a good book
and relaxing on my days off!

Mixin it up a little today

Hello Ladies!
as always I am linking up over at The Vintage Apple but since we are having an open house here at work I am also doing my Wedding Wednesday with this. Which isn't really any different than any of our wedding planning because to be honest everything has just been getting ideas of Pinterest here lately and checking out other photography blogs for ideas and trying to schedule pre-cana with our church. Not really any fun stuff other than pinteresting! So here it goes:
How cute are these dresses for my bridesmaids?! now just to find out where they come from!

Anthony and I decided that these are the types of favors we are going to do along with a cute board like this one. However you have got to get over Amanda Suanne's photography blog! She is amazing and I wish every day that she lived closer so that she could photograph my wedding.

I have been pinning lots of table decor ideas. I am set on the fact that we are going to have burlap and lace throughout everything! I just love the simplicity of it combined and it is very classy! I am thinking we are just going to mix up all the table runners because it will match our china plates that are going to be mixy matchy. More on that with next weeks post (: Here are a couple table runners that I am currently in love with!

Now this is a little unwedding-related but I found it on pinterest this morning and had to put it as my facebook status. It is so true to every day life because so many people participate in gossip and it really bugs the H-E-double hockey sticks outta me! I am not going to lie sometimes I am tempted to participate but here lately I have been trying my darndest not to give into such horrible acts.

I hope you all are having a wonderful wednesday and make sure you check out the other Pinterestors linked up over at The Vintage Apple!

Pinteresting Wednesday

Happy Humpday everyone!
I didn't used to be too fond of Wednesdays because they are the day that's smack dab in the middle of the week and by Wedneday I was pretty much just praying for Friday to get here. Well then I wandered over to  The Vintage Apple & discovered the Pinteresting Wednesday party going on and now I look forward to Wednesday every week almost as much as I look forward to Friday! I love checking out what everyone has been pinning and learning new recipes or lil crafty projects. If you are a pinterest fanatic lover make sure you head over to Michelle's, consider this your invitation to only the best party every week!
If you don't know what Pinterest is that is a-oh-kay just shoot me your email address and I can invite you to Pinterest to check it! I promise your life will be changed (:

1. Young House Love - I just love that sign and we have the worst problem ever with pens going through the wash and ruining a whole load of clothes...this would be the perfect sign to have to remind us to check!
2. Literally Inspired  - checking out this photo canvas as I am searching for ideas for our gallery wall
3. Sweet Pickins - I am currently working on my first furniture renovation and this dresser is amazing, can't wait to start my next project and use pretty yellow paint like this
4. The Happy Home - how cute is that chevron bulletin board, I need to do this to my plain ol brown one I have had for years that is so ugly hanging in my room.
5. Rainy Day Colors' etsy shop - I really like the banner on this card which would be easy to make and I could just add any kind of stamp to the front for pretty much any occasion.
6. no source - error on pinterest - I am going to try to build one of these for our river lot to have on the deck
7. Not Just a Housewife  - Anthony's mom has tons of old doors stored in their barn that she got from a friend and I could make something like this for our wedding
8. Oh So Pretty the diaries  - I need to try this curling technique for my hair asap
9. Rang Oli Design's etsy shop - when I eventually get time to teach myself how to quilt I really want to make one just like this!?! its so colorful and would match everything!!! The pattern is only $9 from this etsy shop I just might have to buy it for my first quilt.

This is the closet of my dreams

This pillow is sold on Amazon but I am pretty sure I could make one too

If I don't have an actual laundry room I want these kind of doors on the closet that the washer and
dryer will go

Great idea for all my handmade cards instead of tucked away in my scrapbook room where I always forget about them.
