Sunday Morning Snuggles

This morning I rocked Rowan to sleep for the first time without her nursing to fall asleep. I had a ton of things on my to do list but it was so much easier to push them all aside and snuggle with this sweet little angel for as long as she would let me. Everyone says these moments are limited and to enjoy. 

Halloween PJs

Tonight we busted out our first holiday pjs since it is officially October. These adorable Halloween jams are from Carter's and I couldn't get over how cute Rowan looked in them! Bring on the holiday season with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas!!! This Momma is so so so excited!

Sleeping Beauty

Wednesdays are my day off and I almost always try to find something to fill our day with fun instead of sitting around the house. I love taking Rowan to experience new things and getting to see her reaction. Today Daddy got called into the post office to deliver packages so it was just the two of us. We hung out around the house most of the morning but then I wanted to make a trip to town. I didn't really have anything to get in town (other than a pumpkin spice iced capp from Tim Hortons -- I can't shake the craving!!!!) We ended up going to see Aunt Shalene at the pet store. Rowan loved the birds and mice (ewwww) and she was mesmerized by the fish. 

She fell asleep on the way home. In my rush to get in the house I couldn't help but pause for a solid two minutes or longer and just stared at her sleeping in her carseat. I was overcome with her beauty and innocence and how blessed I am to have her as my daughter. God is so good!

Seven Months of Rowan Christine

Lucky number 7, this month definitely threw us some curve balls but this is the first month I have felt like I am really sailing through this with very little waves.

Here are Rowan's 7th Month Photos and Updates…

CHANGES + MILESTONES :

• She is finally in the 18 pound range but still in the same 6-9 month clothes and in size 3 diapers
• She is sleeping on her back and aside from a couple restless mornings she is still sleeping through the night and in her own bedroom now!
• Little girl gave us our first major scare this month. She had a little accident and hit her mouth off the footboard on our bed and knock her two little bottom teeth into the back of her mouth. I was at work and she was hanging out with Daddy for the day. He rushed her to our family dentist and then to a pediatric dentist who ended up pulling her two bottom teeth out. So now we are back to square one in the teething department but she was so strong through the whole thing.
• She is officially a crawler and is also pulling herself up on the edge of the couch and attempting to walk along it.
• She is still getting the hang of holding her own bottle but still loves her Mommas milk. 

EYE COLOR, HAIR & BABY GIGGLES:

Blonde hair, blue eyes and lots of smiles and laughing as always!

SLEEP:

We moved Rowan's crib into her room this month and she has been doing amazing. Her sleep schedule has changed around a little bit but we adjusted to that schedule and we are all back to getting some good sleep around here.

SCHEDULE:

Little Miss has been waking up around 5AM to nurse and sometimes fall back asleep or stay awake until 7:30 then she is back to sleep for a couple hours in the morning. She usually takes an afternoon nap and then is awake again in the evening un 10/10:30 if we are able to keep her up that late.

FEEDINGS:

We are still going strong in the Momma's milk department and we have introduced some purees. In the beginning Rowan loved trying all the new stuff but in the last two weeks she has changed things up and isn't really wanting any of the food so we are back to milk and a couple attempts of food in the morning.

Rowan's First Camping Trip -- Ohio Pyle, Pennsylvania

A little over a month ago we took our first little vacation as a family of 3 and we went camping in Ohio Pyle, Pennsylvania. We joined up with Anthony's brother Trevor and his girlfriend Kendra. We had so much fun exploring this little white rafting town in the mountains of Pennsylvania. It was great to get off the grid and spend some quality time together for a few days. I personally was proud of successfully camping without electric with a five month old baby. Our trip included
