Weekend Recap

This weekend we had lots of fun doing stuff we don't normally do.
Friday when I got off work I met Anthony and at the gym and we got our workout on.
Well we did that separately because to be honest he is over there lifting Tonka trucks
while I am still stuck on toothpicks!
Really though I prefer to run and get the miles checked off
and do that stair master which is so ancient I am pretty sure it was around before dinosaurs.
Saturday night we went to The Barn to listen to Doublecut (the band my cousin is in) play.
Man it was packed, like sardines in a jar!
I didn't really like it too much but after 3 wine coolers it didn't even matter.
After that we ended up going to Bogeys to hang out with Hendershots.

Sunday Anthony woke me up way too early
Remember those three wine coolers? well they were not treating me well in the a.m.
Once I was forced to get up we headed down to Nelsonville to see Anthony's brothers and cousin at their new house. It ended up taking almost two hours to get there but we had so much fun!
Since it was so nice and they are going to college at Hocking which is right by Old Mans Cave we had to go hiking. We ended up hiking at least 8 miles.
Everything was so pretty and then Trevor had supper ready for us when we got back!
We ended up leaving at like 10:30 and lucky me Anthony drove so I slept the majority of the way home.
And then the weekend was over!!
As you can tell I am a little late posting about my weekend...wanna know why?
I am working full time and going to school full time which is really taking away from my blogging time and tv show time. I am taking two online classes so the majority of my time spent on the computer is spent on Blackboard listening to lectures.
So until May my blogging is most likely going to be very sporadic,  just depending on how much work I have going on at the time.
Hope all of you are having a great week though and Happy Hump Day
we are only 3 days away from the weekend!

Please excuse my absence from the blogging world for the next couple of weeks while I get my schedule & life more organized. I am starting at a new college this week and am going to school full-time and working full time all the while planning the wedding and still spending lots of time with family and friends.

I will still be trying to log on here weekly and catch up on blogs but really most of my time is going to be spent studying for my classes. Thank-you for understanding and feel free to follow me on instagram because I will still be getting on there. (@mrsfry2013)

Also I want to say Happy 2nd Birthday to my big boy Tank!

Please take note of what he is doing in all these pictures...
Sleeping!!
this is all he ever does, no lie.
I swear the only time he is awake is to eat, go outside, or chase the cat!
I still love him anyways
Happy Birthday Tankers

Big News!!

We   I have been searching endlessly like every week for our future home!
I say I have because whenever I brought it up with Anthony he didn't seemed interested and just figured we would find something when the time was right.
Which to him I am pretty sure the time being right is like a week maybe a month before we get married.
Well I am not ready for that added stress on top of planning the wedding, rehearsal, & going to showers

Every week I was logging onto hotpads.com, every realtor website in our area and even craigslist and coming up with nothing. Other than beautiful homes that are outside of our price range
or homes that are in too much need of TLC that I do not want to have to tackle in our first year of marriage
Don't get me wrong...I love a good DIY project and am dreaming of the day I get to decorate my own house, but I really do not want to be knocking any walls out or fixing plumbing or electric in the whole house.

Weekend Recap

This weekend was pretty eventful, not quite successful for me though.
Thursday night Anthony and I decided to have a date night.
Wanna know what our date nights consist of?
going to Target...lol and Dick's Sporting Goods to look at guns, camo clothes and expensive workout clothes that I do not need. Then we went to Applebee's where I got a strawberry perfect margarita and then we just split the 2 for $20 deal and I got 3 cheese chicken penne and Anthony got some spicy shrimp pasta thing that was really good!!!
After Applebee's I was feeling pretty good after sucking down that margarita in like 5 minutes and wanted to go to Michael's because I had never been there before. Well lucky me because almost all of their Smash book stuff was 70% off. I already think their prices are pretty fair and to be marked off that much I was super excited!!

OLW 2013 : JAN

This week I started working on my One Little Word for the Big Picture Class being taught by Ali Edwards
We were instructed to pick ONE word to use in 2013 and to live up to our expectations, goals, plans, aspirations or anything we want to fulfill using that word.
Well after lots and lots of thinking about what word I wanted to use and changing my mind a couple times I finally picked my word...

Holiday Recap

I haven't really had a good chance to sit down and blog about Christmas because we have been running so much! Seriously we had 6 different Christmases and when we weren't in the car going to people's houses I just wanted to sit down and relax. We had a wonderful surprise of having Anthony's brother be home and we made it to a couple local wineries and they got to spend some time together which was really nice. I was really thrilled because we had a white Christmas and even more snow in the days following.
Saturday we went to Anthony's Dad's and it had snowed a lot that night and we ended up sliding off the road and into the ditch. I was getting nervous because every time Anthony tried to get us out we slid further towards a ravine. He finally gave up and we called my Dad and he came and pulled us out with my trusty jeep. We went back to the house and Anthony's Dad said he would re-schedule but then we decided that Saturday was the only day it was going to work because Trevor and Travis are going to be going to college and making all of our schedules work together was just going to be too hard. So we ended up going to his Dad's on Saturday.

Happy New Year

It is hard to believe we are getting ready to celebrate the ending of 2012 and welcoming 2013!
2012 was a great year but I am ready for twenty thirteen for many reasons, the big one being that this year I am getting to marry my best friend and become Mrs. Fry!! There are also going to be lots of other really fun firsts like getting our own place, celebrating our first holidays as husband and wife and starting our own traditions. Bring it on twenty-thirteen!

Twenty twelve was pretty great too! We went to Nashville Tennessee for the first time, went camping on the beach in the obx for the first and probably the last time, I went to all the lighthouses on the Outerbanks, Tank celebrated his first birthday, I bought my wedding dress, we had our first liter of puppies ever and found homes for them plus their mother went to live with Grandma and Dave.

Tonight we are just going to hangout with my family and celebrate the new year in a more relaxed fashion. We were looking forward to hanging out with our friends but Luke has the flu and the roads are getting pretty icy so we decided to just stay in.

We had an amazing Christmas with lots of surprises and not enough time with our families and too much food eaten. I will do another post later this week with some updates from our Christmas. Until then though Happy New Years and have lots of fun and stay safe!!

we have snow
and lots of wind!
I have a lot that needs done before Tuesday
-return my book rentals to Chegg
-1034347 loads of laundry (not really prolly like 8 though)
-get the rest of the gifts for the gift exchanges
-dogs need baths
I would really like to just lay on the couch all day or work on my smashbook.
NOT GOING TO HAPPEN

Weekend Recap

On Friday I was really excited because for one I got to meet Baby Casen and even got to hold him!!
He is so little and precious..I just might have gotten an ounce of baby fever.
The second thing I was excited about was I got to go shopping in Newark when I got off and I ended up buying not one but two Smashbooks. I originally was asking for one for Christmas but then I had some Christmas money to spend and just couldn't resist buying them and some smashing supplies. Now I just need to get some pictures developed from since we got engaged and some of the wedding stuff that has been going on for my one Smashbook that is going to be all my "I Said Yes" stuff. I am not real sure just yet what I am going to do with the other one, maybe just some everyday stuff with the dogs and around the house. What do you put in your Smashbook?

makin a list, checkin it twice..

1st row- stamps from Brownpigeon Etsy Shop - I found these and have been obsessing over them thinking up all kinds of stuff I can make with them.
Ever since I added #whippycake on IG and saw the smashing parties she has been putting I decided I needed to get a Smashbook. If I don't get one for Christmas there is a really good chance I am going to order one for myself.
Anthony and I have really been contemplating buying ourselves a tv for Christmas but aren't real sure yet if we want to because maybe Santa will just get us one
this lace tape from Fawn and Flora is another item I want, particularly to use for making decorations for the wedding, Thank-you cards or to use in my Smashbook.
I spotted this Fish Hook tank from Sporty Girl on Pinterest a couple months ago and would really like it to wear this summer especially on our charter fishing trip on our honeymoon.
One last craft thing... this Twig Thank-You stamp from Fawn and Flora I want so I can get started on making our wedding thank-you cards ahead of time so all I have to do is write them after my showers and the wedding. There is nothing like getting a handmade card in the mail!!
Ok well maybe there is something better than getting a handmade card in the mail...that would be getting a new pair of boots in the mail and these Justin's are just what I am wanting right now. I actually need them so I can quit wearing my wedding boots to work on days that I want to dress up but still wear my boots.

So there you have it, my 2012 Christmas list! What are you asking for this Christmas? Tomorrow I am going to share some of Tank and Diesel's wishlist and what Santa might actually be bringing them.

Friday's Letters

Dear Christmas.
I cannot believe you are only 11 days away! Eleven days until all this holiday high is officially celebrated. Eleven days until we get to travel from house to house to celebrate with family, give gifts that we put lots of thought into, and then begin the cleaning and putting away of all the Christmas decorations. Oh and it means that you need to remind your man in your life that he only has ten days left to get his Christmas shopping done. I have also been enjoying the peppermint hot coco from Tim Horton's in the mornings instead of my usual pumpkin spice hot coco and watching ABC Christmas movies with Tank in the evenings when I get off work.

Dear Friday,
I am beginning to enjoy you even more than I used to. Honestly I didn't think that was physically possible but you proved me wrong. You see the office receptionist that works in our sister company in Newark is on maternity leave and I am getting to go to the Newark office to catch up on the stuff that builds up over the week. I am also getting to go shopping at a couple different stores that we don't have in Zanesville. This week I am going to Target and Michaels so I can get a couple more things for Christmas projects/gifts and I am finally going to get the white sea creature from the Nate Berkus collection at Target. Another awesome thing is that this week I get to meet baby Conley because Shelby is going to bring him by the office. Here is hoping that baby fever can stay away and I can just enjoy him.

Dear Finals and Fall Semester,
I am glad you are finally over and that I officially made it through. I questioned if going back to school and working full time was actually going to work. Well it did and I took my last tests this week and am now on a much needed break until January. My plan is to get as much wedding stuff done as possible because spring semester lasts until May and I am going to be really busy with working and going to school that I need to get
lots done while I have this little break.

Early Saturday Morning Ramble

I have been awake since 5 a.m.
No I did not have to be at work this morning,
so I am not really sure as to why I woke up so early.
But this is not the first time it has happened on a Saturday or Sunday morning.
There are two take on this
1. (in a grumpass mood) why can I not sleep in on my two days of the week to do so? resulting in a bad mood saturday and eventually crashing before 8 p.m
2. (in am excited, enthusiastic mood) this is awesome I am going to be able to get so much done today. And accomplishing everything that needs done for the day and maybe even more

a little bit of everything

I haven't done a Wedding Wednesday post in a couple weeks but don't fear girls there is still a wedding in June and plenty of planning going on. I am just so busy with finishing up this semester and working on lots of DIY Christmas projects.
Yesterday I did purchase a dress to possibly wear to my bachelorette party/night out with the girls! I originally bought it with the bright idea in my head that we should have a New Years Eve party but then I remembered oh hey all us girls are dating or married to Country boys who would much rather just lounge around in jeans, flannels and their boots. Who I am kidding they would think we are goofing getting all dressed up just for a night in the house with them. So the dress is going to be put aside for our clubbing adventure in April or May, closer to the wedding.
I am in love with the sleeves and the back other than I need to figure out what I am going to do about a bra because I am not really up for letting the girls be free for the night of dancing and drinking.
(and hopefully getting a lap dance - ahem bridesmaids please take note!)
Oh and disregard the fact that I do not have any shoes on, I had worn my purple and black cowboy boots and didn't think to put them on for the picture.

Last night Anthony and I attempted to get some doggone awesome pictures of Mr. Tank just like Stephanie did with Quinley
Well lets just say ours did not turn out like what I was thinking and my trusty little iphone is not going to be the device for the job. Tank was super cooperative but was unsure as to what was actually going on.
Then again I was working with a half a strand of functioning Christmas lights and getting him to hold still because he kept want to skoot away and didn't have much leeway since he was plugged into the wall!
Maybe with a little more practice we can perfect this and the next photo shoot will be a success.

I am loving looking at all the Christmas Mantels over at The Lettered Cottage Christmas Mantel Party and cannot wait to get my pictures linked up over there for our mantels once they are done! If you are looking for any inspiration head over there as of earlier today there were over 300 people linked up!!

Insta-weekend

I meant to write this post yesterday like I normally do on Mondays but I was busy preparing for my last speech for my speech class...yes the last one!! I am findingit hard to believe this semester is a week from being over. It seriously seems like just yesterday I was stressing looking at the syllabus and seeing that I was going to have to make a 3 minute speech let alone the two 5 minute ones and the two different 10 minute speeches. I may have even thought of dropping the class but now I am so happy I decided to stick it out because last night before and after giving that last 10 minute speech I was not nearly as nervous as the first night and felt very professional and well prepared. Heck last week I did my first vlog (if you missed it here it is) and that is something I probably would not have done before taking this class.

Anyways this weekend was spent going to The Depot for Grandpa Kuhn's birthday where I might have had one too many glasses of wine, some more Christmas decorating and some DIY projects, going to see Spiker's new house, running out of gas and Dad coming to my rescue, the annual Dresden Christmas parade where we rode on the trailers behind and threw candy for the little kids, to The Depot again for karaoke and some more wine. Sunday was spent doing more DIY Christmas and studying for finals. I am going to be so excited once these finals are over and I can enjoy this little break before next semester.
